An Update

The last few days have been rather unstructured. We got home from Bellingham late Monday night and Tuesday morning took Danny to his first day on the new job at the Para Transit office in Bremerton. Then Doug and I messed around with pictures of Theo and various other parental type activities and I picked Danny up from work and we ran a couple of errands, like picking up some prints of Theo at Walgreens that we sent from our computer at home. That worked really great and if you'd like to see some of the pictures that we uploaded to the Walgreens website you can go to ........ hmmmm, I see I have to invite you by email to see the photos, so if you'd like to get an email invite, let me know. Today Danny took himself to work and Doug went to do some work at the church and I went to Magic Hill and this afternoon we took a posterboard birth announcement over to Mom's place and told her about her great grandson being born. She was just tickled and wants to know when he's coming to visit. "I like to hold them when they're tiny!"

When we first got there the karaoke lady was singing and the assistant director came in between songs and made the announcement that Doris was a great-grandmother and everyone clapped and "yayed" and some people even stood up and cheered. It was so sweet! It really made mom feel special.

Then we went and found a quiet corner to look at the pictures. She was just delighted.

Before we left we went to her room to put the announcement/pictures on her bulletin board and there was someone asleep in her bed. Mysteries abound.

We picked Tyler up at the ferry at 4:00 and after going to Costco, so Doug could buy ink cartridges for our printer, we bought a new printer instead, which will hopefully be easier on the ink (we were always out). We had dinner at Olive Garden with T & D, which was nice, but never as good as I expect it to be. Now Doug is installing the new printer and I'm listening to a CD Tyler made for us, KIDS ON BIKES - THE COLLECTION.

I called Andy & Sarah this evening to hear about the midwife's visit today. She said Theo is doing great and he weighs 7 lbs 13 oz, so hasn't even lost much weight. They were on their way out the door to take Theo to visit the remaining expectant parents in their childbirth class. I'm sure he was an inspiration to them all!
